Now's Your Chance To Buy Richard Hammond's E36 BMW M3, As Seen On Top Gear
With the huge number of car buying-based challenges the Top Gear boys have undertaken over the years, you’d think we’d be seeing quite a few come up for sale once they’re no longer needed by the production crew. However, given the fact that many end up either crashed, modified by the ham-fisted Jeremy Clarkson or given some sort of crazy makeover, few make it to the classifieds. However, that’s not the case for this E36 BMW M3 Evo saloon - once driven by Richard Hammond - which is due to go under the hammer soon.
The car was used in series 15’s used sports saloon challenge, which saw James May in a Mercedes 190E ‘Cosworth’ and Jeremy Clarkson in a Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth. The 321bhp BMW looks to be in good condition, and has just 79,000 miles on the clock.
It’s due to be actioned by Classic Car Auctions at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on 6 June, if you fancy putting in a cheeky bid. The estimated price is £7500 to £10,500.
