The italian car company De Tomaso was a famous and luxurious brand. The founder was the argentinian Alejandro de Tomaso ( That´s why the logo of De Tomaso has an argentinian flag on it ) , he was born in 1928 and went to Bologna in 1955. At first, he wanted to build race cars for the Formula 1 and he also built some cars, but they were never really used in the F1. He also built cars for the Formula 3 and Indianapolis, however, those weren´t used, too.

The DeLorean DMC-12 had a difficult start and a difficult life. The guy who wanted to build this car was John DeLorean and he had the plan to build an ethical car, which means a car which was safe, long-lasting and sustainable. He was a manager from GM and had the opinion that small, high-quality cars with efficient engines were the future. The problem was: The rest of the GM staff had a different opinion and later, in 1973, after some arguments with the staff, he decided to quit the job and to make his own sports car, which was proved to be difficult.

The first Type R was unveiled in 1997. It had an 1,6 litre inline four cylinder N/A engine with 185 hp, but that was pretty powerful for a weight only slightly above 1000 kilos. It had a self-supporting rigid body, came with recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel, a shift knob made out of titan and of course it had VTEC. The power was transmitted with a 5 speed manual and the sprint from 0-62 mph was made in 6,8 seconds. One great thing about this car and the whole Type R era is that the engine made 116 hp/ litre ! Howsoever, the car was built from 1997- 2000.

The Volkswagen W12 coupe was first unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2001. It was powered by a W12 engine, which was put together by two VR6 engines and had 600hp (7000rpm/min), making the sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3,4 seconds. The concept car made many world records, for example 7085 km (about 4402 miles) in 24 hours and one year later 7749 km (about 4815 miles) in 24 hours, just to name two of many other records.

If you look for a car that feels great on the road (and track), goes smooth around the corners and isn´t a Miata, this is the one. The Honda S2000 came 1999 on the market and was built until 2009, nearly without any changes. First the car was built in the manufacturing side Tochigi, which was first made for the Honda NSX, but later Honda manufactured the S2000 in Suzuka. Developed by chef engineer Shigeru Uehara, the car should serve to celebrate the 50th company anniversary.

In the 1950s, nuclear power was a new thing. The people didn´t know anything about it and it was promised that it is a clean and safe way for cheap electricity. Then, in 1957, Ford decided to unveil a concept vehicle that was powered by a small atomic reactor in the trunk, the Ford Nucleon. With one nuclear reactor you could travel for 5000 miles, and when the reactor was empty, you could just drive to a full service recharging station, where it was swapped for a new one.
