Watch A GT-R Smash It's Way From 0-200mph In 14 Secs
The Nissan GT-R has become a bit of a sprint legend since it was launched in 2007. Four-wheel drive always means a quick getaway, and with a stock 0-60mph time of 2.7 seconds, GT-R owners will usually embarrass people with cars costing fifteen times as much.
Sadly, quick 0-60mph times don't pull the ladies the way it used to. That's what you need a 0-200 mph time for. Here's how it's done:
Firstly, you'll have to get yourself a GT-R with a highly modified engine, bigger turbos, louder and less restrictive exhausts, and 1700 bhp under the bonnet. Then you need to add Toyo R888 tyres and the purest race petrol on Earth.
The stats of this modified GT-R are incredible:
0-60mph – 3.3 seconds (slower than standard because of too much power) 0-100mph – 7.3 seconds0-200mph – 14.1 seconds (once the car is really in its stride) 1/4 mile – 10.1 seconds at 167mph (a Veyron will do the same time but at just 139 mph)1 mile – 22.7 seconds at 232mph (Veyron 25.9 at 204mph, Hennessey Venom 26 at 220mph)
Watch as the madness unfolds:
Whatever way you look at it, a GT-R with that much power is hilarious. It’s just a shame the owner decided to tweak the outside of the car with new rear lights and stupid racing stripes.
