USB Killer vs. Honda: Who Will Win?

As some of the more tech-savvy CTzens may be aware, you can buy a USB device whose sole purpose is to destroy the hardware of whatever’s on the other end of the port. It’s proven to be lethal against computers, so YouTuber TechSmartt decided to try one on his car.

As the video shows, TechSmartt really does plug the kill stick into the USB port of his Honda Civic. Believe it or not, it actually worked. Of course, TechSmartt definitely employed some theater when expressing concern over the safety of his car (you all knew the interior USB port wasn’t connected to the ECU, right? No? Oh, well, spoiler alert.) But his car’s entertainment system appears to be legitimately dickered.

So, while we can’t exactly call it Honda Rousey, it looks like the judges are going to award the Civic with a loss. Were you surprised? Comment below!

Did he censor the Honda logo for copyright? Because it’s not necessary, especially since it says “Honda” on the license plate cover.
