As you know, I am a car guy. A car guy who likes to be on Car Throttle. Because of that, I am usually being bullied because of it. Accusations, slander, theft, and destruction of property are all aimed at me, just because I am a car guy.

My classroom is an anti-petrolhead environment. Every car guy in my class either gets bullied, rejected and even beaten up, just because they like cars. Whenever I mention even a phrase related to cars, they all bully me. There used to be one petrolhead friend in my class. He turned into one of those people.

How far has this gone? Over the limit. When I was browsing Car Throttle in school, one of them shouted out that I was browsing porn. It was shouted in front of a teacher after school. My phone was almost confiscated due to that, and I explained to the teacher. I asked them why they did that. They said it was because I am a car guy, and us petrolheads dont deserve respect.

And this happened today. I just said Ok in a group chat, and everyone screamed “F*CK OFF” just because I’m a car guy.

The worst part is, I have to deal with them in real life almost every day in my life. To me Car Throttle is a refuge place where everyone likes the same thing, cars. You guys support each other, and once in a while, there are one or two arguments. But that gets resolved in about a few hours. But the thing is, they’re all just accounts, and I the chances of meeting you guys are slim to none.

I really wish I can meet you supportive CTzens in real life, instead of meeting those bullies in real life. A ticket to a CTmeet is expensive to me, as I live in Indonesia, and they mostly take place in Europe.

I had similar problems (not because of cars,tho),while I was going to primary school.The strange thing is that it started in my final year.I did not take that to my heart,because it meant nothing in my life.In a song by Ice Cube,he says “Don’t be scared of them people,walk up in there and show them that you’re equal.”And you should follow that.Simply ignore them,don’t talk to them.Find some new friends,show them that they mean nothing to you.Act as confident as you can.If necessary,ask your teachers and parents for help.Sooner or later they’ll be gone from your life.Greetings from a petrolhead across the world.

I understand where you’re coming from completely. If you’re ever near Orlando Florida, go to old town on Friday night and I will meet you there. I had to be homeschooled because of my love of cars and everyone bullied me for it. Someone once pretended to be my friend and a car guy and then shouted that for all he knew, “ v8 engines run on v8 juice and I am a loser” in front of the whole school. Just let me know if you come to Orlando and I would like to meet you

The people I’m my class like cars too, I like JDM cars, and my other friends like JDM, super cars and sports. I live in Scotland and my brother and cousins may make the odd laugh or joke about me being a “car guy” “ricer” or “car enthusiast”

Sometimes i get bullied because i don’t like Euros but JDM’s. That’s just dumb xD. Just ignore it kinda or try it. You know something that you can maybe use in your future as job or something as hobby. I guess that’s much cooler than i don’t know what’s in your class but in my class it’s styling, fashion? That’s for me very boring. Stay strong!

Why are some schools so anti-petrolhead?
Someone needs to create car throttle school and then all us car guys could indulge in what we love the most without all the horrible anti-petrolheads cracking down on us

I live in England and there aren’t anti-petrolheads as such bit they just get bored of me going on and on
