I’ve completely forgotten what it is and I couldn’t find it anywhere (the closest thing I could find was something about horse racing).

"The LX Cars are just Old E-Classes!" Quite the contrary. Read the link below to find out the truth.
(Scroll down to Sharing with Mercedes and the myth of the “old E-Class”).

Time and time and time again. I see people (mostly enthusiasts) complaining about the rising empire that is the CUV kingdom. Storming villages, homeland and even other castles that were once ruled over by the once huge and always growing market that was Sedans, no one looked; no one batted a single eyelash in the direction of the CUVs. Our ignorance to their frontal attack is what led to our demise. CUVs are constantly growing and at an unprecedented rate. Taking over the land and sales that were once enjoyed by the Sedans; where did it all go so wrong?

This isn’t actually the first time I’ve made a blogpost like this. For those of you who don’t remember, I made one about two years ago on the exact same subject. Why am I doing it again then? Simple, I can explain more reasons now than I could then. Not only this but I can give better explanations for the same reasons too. If you want to read the original you can in the link down below. This also won’t be the first time I redo an old article either.

Disclaimer Leave all “I hate the current Dart, the Dart looks like a Neon” and similar comments to yourself. As this is not the place for such comments. With that out of the way, lets get to theorizing.

I think not. It is more appropriate to say opportunities galore. More often than not, people hate on 80s American Cars saying it was the low point for the American Petrol head. That’s understandable since it is true. It was a very low point. So much so that even Ferrari’s of that time struggled to get to 350 horsepower. A lot of vehicles were boxes with no style, except a few which slipped through the cracks. We did get some interesting vehicles and in my opinion, some good looking ones.

While I haven’t seen anyone say this in a while. I thought I should touch base on this. Now a lot of people think that the Viper’s engine is derived from a truck engine, well I’m here to put that over 20 year rumor to rest. (The Viper is almost 25 years old now). Is it based of a truck engine? Complicated answer: Still no, but there is more to it then that. Warning: James May mode activated While the Viper’s engine is a V10, it isn’t similar. The only thing the truck engine and the Viper engine shared is probably one bolt….

The GLHS The GLHS was the fastest with 175 horsepower and 175 lb-ft. This wasn’t a tool for the track, it was a weapon of mass destruction. It had a modified Garrett Turbo I engine, a long runner tuned intake (2 pieces) manifold, and an intercooler. The engine had a compression ratio of 8.5:1, a maximum boost of 12 psi. Because of all this, it could do the 0-60 mph in an incredible 6.70 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.7 seconds at 94 mph. It also pulled .88 g on the skid pad.

Which is a shame, because had it made it to full production. It would have made the Viper just as old as the Corvette.

This is inspired by a similar post. Except this one is for America, so here we GO! Disclaimer! The cops are just doing their job, so any joke made in this is not meant to be taken seriously . 1. The spotlight. This is the tell tale sign of an undercover cop car. No regular car has this. None, zip, zero, zilch, nada. You get the picture. If you see a Crown Vic or even a Caprice with this then you know it’s being driven by a cop that thinks your to ignorant to observe their car. Well think again! Haha!

Ok . Lets kick things off by saying that all the cars that are listed are just my opinions. And it doesn’t matter if it the cars aren’t on the same chassis.

So, what is a drivers car? To me. A drivers car is a car that sacrifices very very little in the pursuit of speed. It’s a vehicle that has a very few creature comforts. The most they have usually is AC, Touchscreen, some sound insulation and a nice interior (the interior bit is optional). To me a drivers car should be focused. It shouldn’t try to be everything. It should be the best that it can be at being a very pure experience. It should compromise very little. It should be focused on going fast, not trying to make everyone happy.

I’m going to list some cars that I think have very good trackday car possibilities. 1, Chrysler 200 It has 295 HP (that’s more then a modern day WRX). AWD and a sport button. This car really does have potential. It’s also very good handling and is quite quick! It also sounds really nice. 2, Dodge Dart The most powerful version may have 184 hp but reviews favor it’s handling it. And a turbo kit is out, as well as a lowering kit.

I know . I’m gonna get a lot of interesting comments from this but hear me out. Ricing isn’t actually the worst thing to happen to cars sense the birth of them. Because haven’t you ever wondered what that exhaust would look like on your car? Well a quick scroll through google and you might find a very similar one on a riced car. This is what I’m getting at, ricing. It’s like beta testing. We may not do it but others do, they test things we wouldn’t on our own cars. They buy the things we wouldn’t.

Now. Every now and then I see people say “why does this FWD car have a spoiler??? It’ll just slow him down, the dumb ricer!!!”. Well, yes it will slow him down in the straights. But he’ll have better grip through the corners. Why you ask. Here is why. The reason some FWD cars have spoilers is because of a little thing called weight transfer. Weight transfer is almost self explanatory.

1. It’s name . Like Need For Speed MW 2012 (which I love) a lot of people hate the game, and for a lot of people. It’s not for the game itself. It’s because………….. Of the name. You saw that correctly, the name. They saw it would be a better game if it wasn’t called Need For Speed, more so Burn Out Paradise, and that’s absurd, like the name some how takes away from the gaming experience. And for the Dart, it’s because of the name, and what it’s become.
