When the newest generation Ford Mustang was revealed to be housing an Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) for production, there were some mixed reactions. For the Road Racing/Autocrossing Mustang fans, the reaction was, “ YESSSSS!!! “, for the traditional Mustang fans it was, “ NOOOOOOOO!!!! “, and for Europeans it was “ About time you cavemen. “

The whole car world seems to be absolutely fascinated with the new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 package. While it’s looks are certainly polarizing (as they always have been for the past few Camaro generations), there’s one thing nearly everybody agrees on: It’s badass. However, nothing has taken the internet more by storm than the fact the new ZL1 can hit 60 FREEDOMS per hour in 1st gear (with the 6-speed manual). There were many articles about it over various car news sites (including this one), and surprisingly it also created a massive debate.

(1.) Cubic Inches Most of the world makes sense, and thus most of the world uses the Metric system. You’re used to hearing about displacement in engines being 2.0L, 5.0L, etc. Just about any car guy is going to know what you mean when you say a car has X.X Liters under the hood. Well prepare to throw all that out the window.

Tired of the “muscle cars can’t turn” memes? So was I. Stock (LS1’s) our cars could pull 0.89-0.9g’s through a corner. Decent, but not enough to keep up those guys in 350z’s and whatnot. Well, today I’m going to tell you what you need, why you need it, where to buy it, and the price. All of these mods (except for the “extras”) are installed on my friend’s Camaro and his straight up handles like a race car. Mine has a good bit of these but will get them all this summer. So, here’s what you need:

I have worked extremely hard this summer with 50-60 hour weeks, in hope I’d have enough to buy a car I really wanted by the end of summer. Well, I’ve made over $6k and the car I currently drive is worth $5k (title isn’t in my name though). So in theory I have about $10k to spend (with a grand being left for taxes, DMV fees, and insurance). The car I’m looking at is an LS1 Camaro or Trans Am, which are anywhere from $6k-$8k in good condition. Well, I’m still going to be working during the semester to afford gas and bills, so it won’t even be a problem.
