The trident logo of the Maserati car company is based on the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore. In 1920 one of the Maserati brothers, artist Mario, used this symbol in the logo at the suggestion of family friend Marquis Diego de Sterlich. It was considered particularly appropriate for the sports car company due to fact that Neptune represents strength and vigour. Additionally the statue is a characteristic symbol of the company’s original home city.

#MuseumWalk Valentine’s Day Edition It’s Sunday again fellow CTzens and we’re going to see the Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum from Deutschland! In the exact day I visited the museum in August 2015 there was a US Car Meeting and the museum’s parking lot was full of American cars. As I want to share my full experience, today’s post is going to have a lot more photos, so have fun!

Short description of the movie: It’s about charismatic drivers and fascinating racing cars from five decades. Times were changing rapidly from the drifting touring cars in the 60s to the victories of the BMW M4 in the highly sophisticated new DTM. The legends behind the wheel tell their stories from the cockpit view and let the golden era of touring car racing come alive again.

#CarDesignerSeries #Issue1 I had this idea sitting in the back of my mind for quite a while now and the main reason behind it was that we talk about cars everyday, we drive cars everyday, but we never think about the amazing people that designed them in the first place, so with this series I’m aiming at previewing car designers of the world and getting to know them and their portfolios.

It’s another Sunday, so it’s #MuseumWalk time! Today we will be visiting The Louwman Museum , home to the world’s oldest private collection of motor cars, compiled by two generations of the Louwman family. The museum dates back to 1934 and now comprises over two hundred and fifty antique and classic motor cars. Experts regard the collection as one of the most beautiful in the World. The museum exudes passion. Each car has its own story to tell, its own contribution to history. The motor car is a mirror of culture.

#MuseumWalk Part Two It’s another Sunday and as I promised in my last #MuseumWalk post today it’s Mercedes-Benz Museum time. Why did I choose today, 31 January 2016 you’re maybe asking yourself? Well, on 29 January 1886 Mr. Karl Benz registered his patent for the first vehicle propelled by a petrol powered engine, it was the closest Sunday to the celebrating date.

Hello fellow CTzens, This is part one of what is supposed to be a succession of posts which I will be doing every Sunday until I’m out of material. I know not everybody is lucky enough to take a long trip to Deutschland in which they get to visit lots of automobile museums, so this is what I want to achieve with this, I want you to feel whatever is like taking a walk with a buddy on a Sunday to see great cars, the thing we all are passionate about.

By now I think everybody knows this is just a design render made by a very passionate Romanian fella, but still, even the guys at Renault were impressed by it. But let’s not forget the old dog, the Romanian hero, Dacia 1300. :) I grew up in a Dacia 1310, so this wins my heart instantly and I think it applies for every Romanian Car Throttler. That modern Dacia logo still looks like a beer opener though….
