Four reasons why people to hate the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and why the hate makes no sense.
Iâm sure most of you have heard about this remarkable beast. The worldâs quickest quarter mile production car,the worldâs most powerful production V8,the worldâs second quickest zero-to-sixty time in a production car,the quickest production muscle car,the first production car to run drag radials stock, the first production car to successfully pop a wheelie, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This demon in wolfâs clothing is getting a fair amount of hate on the internet. Almost more than the infamous Fiat Multipla. To come thinking about it,I actually think it gets more hate than the Multipla.

The 1970âs. What do we remember most? Smokey and the Bandit? Hotel California? Athena Tennis Girl? Sure,I like that movie. I like that song. I most definitely adorn that picture, but thereâs one thing I absolutely love about the 1970âs,and that would be the cars. We always talk about the muscle cars and Japanese sports cars, but not the Europeans as much, which is a shame. So,sit back and get groovy to some of these European sports cars from the 1970âs. Number five: Lamborghini Espada.

Where do you remember this open-diff drift machine from? The famous Manga touge series Initial-D,or Gran Turismo. Where ever you remember it from,we can both agree that this is one bad ass drift machine. The AE86 generation of the Toyota Corolla Levin and Toyota Sprinter Trueno was introduced in 1983 as a coupé and a hatchback. This was the fifth generation of the Corolla.

The Honda Civic is just a race car. Everyone knows that. Itâs a pure, thoroughbred race car, and, the cooler your Civic looks, the faster it goes. If you play a game and youâre in a Civic and a Bugatti is beating you, just keep in mind,itâs a video game. A Bugatti cant (And never will.) beat a Honda Civic. We all know that the Civic is the best dragster. No car can keep up with a Civic in a straight line. Itâs physically, mentally, religiously, and mathematically impossible. They have so much power. No car in the world has the racing pedigree a Civic has.

Aftermarket tuning has been a way of life for many petrol heads for decades. In fact in the 1960âs,a car rental place by the name of Hertz had Ford Shelby Mustang GT350s for rent. Some people started to rent these and stuck even more powerful Shelby big blocks under the hood that almost doubled the original horsepower. Even in the 1930âs,they would bolt on huge superchargers onto Ford Model 48s and chop the roof down. This is believed to be the first aftermarket tuning. Anyway,I have seen many aftermarket companies such as HKS,RE Amemiya,Greddy,NISMO,and Veilside.

Ignore the 222 Miles Per Hour video you just saw. The fastest one recorded went 250. The Kawasaki Ninja H2R is a track only bike with a Supercharged 998 CC DOHC Inline-4 that makes 310 horsepower at 14,000 RPMs and 115 pounds feet of torque at 12,500 RPMs. The dry weight without a rider is 476 pounds. How fast do you think your car will be going in 26 seconds? 100,120? Well in 26 seconds, the H2R will already be going 250 Miles Per Hour. Thatâs insane. Itâs so scary to think that, you on a bike going 250 and one wrong move equals death. Iâve been on a bike but NOWHERE as fast as that.

Now every car guy should know this but for those of you who donât, there is a thing called Forced Induction. Forced Induction is when air is forced into an engine of any sort with the help of a Supercharger or a Turbocharger. (Check out my post explaining the difference of the two.) You would generally see Turbochargers when your at a Drag strip or out in the night street racing, mainly because they would (but not all the time) make more power than a Supercharger.
