Green Paint And Tan Leather Makes Us Want This Limited 570GT Badly

It’s amazing what a carefully considered choice of options can do to a car. Case in point? This McLaren 570GT. The GT version of the 570 - with its increased luggage space and slightly softer set-up relative to the 570S - is already a strong fantasy garage contender, but thanks to a splash of green paint, orange accents and Saddle Tan leather, we’re overcome with want for this particular example.

The reason for its existence? It’s a McLaren Special Operations (MSO) limited-edition model, designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the F1 XP GT ‘Longtail’ (below). The XP GT was an homologation special featuring aero-friendly extended bodywork compared to the regular F1, and was followed up by three production models.
This 570GT on the other hand - which is finished in the same lovely shade of green as the original Longtail prototype - will have a production run of six. All are already spoken for by buyers from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

In addition to a special numbered plaque, each of the cars have been treated to a range of range of “MSO Black” parts, including a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear wing. The cars also have the ‘Upgrade Pack’ fitted, meaning each owner will be able to enjoy a front-end lift system, a rear-view camera (worthwhile, since you probably don’t want to be whacking that fancy MSO diffuser on anything), and a posh Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Mechanically nothing has been changed - it’s still packing the same mid-mounted 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, with 562bhp and 443lb ft of torque making 0-62mph possible in 3.4 seconds.
