140 horsepower is plenty for this boat (sarcasm) but at least have 250 lb-ft of torque, right?
1hp per kilo;p
a fiat punto mk3 1.9jtd whit maybe 900kg, doing 100hp and 260nm stock, whit a remap, 1.3bar on the turbo and a bigger intercoller, it is kinda powerfull i think
around 300 atw is a good number
i consider a car powerful if it´s in the area of ~6 sec to 100kph. especially here , where hardly 5 % of the cars around are in this league.
My e46 weighs 1505kg and 150hp, and it pulls good. Not like it’s a rocket, but considering 100hp per tonne it’s quite good, I guess it’s because of 330nm of torque. I would gladly buy 3liter next time, if my government wouldn’t skin me alive with all the taxes…
As long as the power to weight ratio (hp/lb) is 0.11 or better, I’ll call it powerful.
I think 250hp-1000kg (1:4) its the starting point of powerfull all the way to the Koenigsegg ONE with ratio of hp-weight 1:1 that has 1360hp. #mythoughts
My introduction and induction in cars was the early 2000’s 2 litre euro saloons my old dad was running about in at the time (and ocasionally hand’me down) anything 160+ is a powerful car to me haha!!
