My old 91 MR2. Only 130hp when new. Now it has over 200 thousand miles on it. It weighed just under 2600 pounds. 5 speed manual. Pop up headlights. The best handling car I’ve ever driven. 4.17 gears. Was the greatest little car. It was the car that I learned how to drive stick on too. Hope to have another one of these things some day.
My Dad’s ‘91 Jeep Wrangler. It’s got the 4-pot married to the 5-spd manual. Funnest and most charismatic car I’ve ever driven. It was also the first car I ever drove on a public road with a manual transmission. The pedal was secured through the firewall with a bungie cord, so if you let the clutch out to soon or to fast it would just pop out. And of course, on my first time driving stick on the street, the pedal came out. We didn’t crash or anything, but it was really nerve racking. Had to lead it into the shoulder and let it die before we could push the pedal back in.
Honestly it’s a Honda Civic, I loved how smooth everything was and they are actually quite nimble little things, also the seats remind me of a supra because how soft and comfy they are (they booth feel like soft foam)
Land Rover Defender It’s brakes didn’t work so you had to use handbrake to stop or to slow down and in every corner on a dirt road it was sideways. Sooooo cooool and fun car!!!
1996 Dodge Neon 2.0SOHC with the 3-speed auto. 0-60 in 13 seconds, 0-118 in …eventually. However, these cars handle amazingly for what they are. Very light and well balanced to fling around corners.
This pic is from a RallyX race last August, in which the Neon came 9/10ths of a second out of 1st place against a field of Subarus.
A Polo with a 1.0 N/A engine with 75 hp. It wasn’t as slow and unsuitable for my area as I had thought, In the corners I could clearly tell that there was less weight over the front axle than in my 1.4.
My uncle’s old megan. It wasn’t fast, and with 250k km it didn’t feel exactly perfect. but it was just a car, with no gizmos what so ever other than AC and radio, and it was an extremely pleasurable car to drive.
I’ve only owned and been in slow cars. The fastest car I’ve been a passenger of was a 2010 V6 Mustang, and the fastest I’ve driven was a 2012 Ford Edge.
DKW 1000cc 62’ It was slow, but was a very nice car…
