Our Peugeot 206, 59hp flooring it and nothing happens, it makes me smile I don’t know why haha
In all honesty, the ONLY time I’ve ever enjoyed our semi-powerful car, (Diesel Peugeot 307) was when I was battling a V8 Holden Commodore in some twisties (Kawarau Gorge for those interested). I still haven’t had as much fun driving as I did that day. However, I still have fun in my wee 1.5 Diesel Starlet every time I drive it. It’s gutless, takes about 25 seconds 0-62, and goes around corners like a cruise ship steered by a dying pig. And the look on peoples faces when that heap of sht rattles and shakes it’s way passed is priceless. Like, what the F**K is a coal-rollin heap of sht doing passing my nice modern Mazda? Then watching them disappear in the mirror when you hit the corners… Seriously nothing is as satisfying as that. Ahhhh good times.
Ford Fiesta mk6 1.3 fun car
VW Bug after a thorough restoration, the feel, the smell, the sound of closing doors 😍
Vw polo 1.0 diesel, an absolutely fun car to drive
Ford Fiesta MK6 1.3 60HP Its damn slow but i like the steering feel, the Gearbox, and the suspension
Toyota previa
A Volkswagen T5 with a 2.0 TDI and mindshattering 62kW. Crazy slow this thing… 22.2s from 0-60mph 🙈
Vauxhall Corsa B 1.2. It was my first car and after over a year of riding 50cc mopeds it felt fast. Bombing down B roads suddenly took over from mountain biking as my passion and it really started me down the path I’m on today as a track day enthusiast. More than that it was total freedom. Not the uncomfortable, cold and lonley freedom of riding a ped in UK weather but sitting with my friends, listening to music, becoming suddenly popular with women (I was more or less the first to pass!) and somewhere to sleep whenever I needed it after summer parties and raves. I loved that car. Say what you want about corsas but I’m proud to have had one for my first car before kids became so spoilt. There’s a beauty in driving a car that costs less than the tires that are on it. You don’t have to worry.
