Toyota Yaris Hybrid Long Term: What Do You Want To See?
We're extremely fortunate here at Car Throttle to be able to test many new cars in many different environments. Sometimes we get a day's worth of driving on foreign soil, more likely is the receipt of a press car for a week, but in some rare cases, manufacturers afford publications like ours the luxury of a long-termer.
When Toyota therefore offered us a Yaris Hybrid to run over 3 months, we jumped at the chance to see just how practical hybrid cars are to live with. Based on its popular supermini, the Yaris Hybrid houses a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to 120 nickel-metal hydride batteries capable of pumping out 99bhp with a sedate 11.8sec 0-62mph sprint time.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be bringing you various articles and video updates along with some special footage to show this car being properly used (no namby-pamby journalism here)!
