What are the coolest cars that were only available in limited markets? This BMW E30 320is was only sold in Italy and Portugal...

It had a 1990cc version of the E30 M3 S14 engine to take advantage of the tax breaks for sub-2.0-litre engines in those countries. It also got the M3’s close ratio Getrag gearbox, but the rest was pretty much standard 3-series. Still, it’s sort of a slightly detuned M3, and that’s cool!

Then there’s the Volkswagen SP2 which was only available in Brazil, as well as countless special editions you’ll find in Japan.

Got any more suggestions for cool cars that were only found in one (or very few) markets? Let us know in the comments, and we’ll share the best.

If I ever build an E30 Project, I’ll make sure to go to italy and take one of these home. M3 fenders and a few changes in the engine (2.5l) etc. and you’re good to go.

AKA Gusheshe! Legendary South African tire shredder. Everyone wanted one and many cars were cloned to be a replica of this car. Till this day is these cars are regarded as one of the iconic gems of SA. The want is strong with this one

Good choice. Though, Interior is overdue for an update but then again, it’s not needed anymore…

BMW E30 333i: standart 325i with M30B32 under the hood, 5 spd manual, LSD and a few more tweaks from Alpina.

Funny fact: with air condition turned, power steering wouldn’t work and vica-versa. Keep in mind that this was built for South Africa region.

Nope, you could order it with either A/C or power steering, but not both, as there weren’t any space for both of them. Other than that you’re correct. I would have ordered mine with A/C as I already daily an E30 without power steering without any problems.

Those are fairly common in the US, but they only came with the 1.8, that’s pretty sweet yours came with a 6.
