What's the one single car part you don't understand on your car?
For me it has to be the helical differential. Absolutely no idea. :O

X5 here and I seriously have no idea why this car has no diff locks…
Oh yeah and the gear leaver…it is like the one Jeremy Clarkson had in the X6…I can’t understand why they made it that way…the glove box openong mechanism is also kind of weird, but it makes sense so the glove box door(or whatever you call it) doesn’t always hit your knees
A few years back I “killed some time” at our local VW-dealership while my mum was handing over our car for a repair.
I had a look at the Touareg (the older one, with the chrome-stuff around the grille).
One of the employees came over and asked if I had any question.
I asked her about the wading-depth and the differential-locks and all sorts of off-roading stuff.
She had NO idea about any of it, switching back and forth in between 1: Doesn’t have it, 2: It doesn’t need it, it’s a modern city car (my favourite, on a W-something engined Touareg), and 3: I never heard of that.
Differentials and AWD systems blow my mind. So. Much. Going. On.
Same here
I got a ‘94 Mx 5 1.9. We understand each other very well
A slap shift transmission, is it electronic or mechanical or both?????
Weirdly, I think there isn’t one…
The Steering Wheel in my Mustang. I am only Driving straight so why do I need ?
It’s not a steering wheel, it’s a circular handle.
So you got something to dig your fingernails into when that scary acceleration zooms you down the 1/4 Mile.
The brakes… why are they there? What do they want from us? Is it some kind of conspiracy? I guess we’ll never know
Clutch: I’m don’t understand how it works
