Where are the most expensive places to buy used cars?
Many of you were surprised by the video when I said that a 2002 Boxster S costs around £5000 to buy in the UK.

I live in Indonesia and i think used car price in my country are ridiculous compare to UK, Europe and even Malaysia (the closest contry from here)
I think that’s it, some cars are expensive because they are extremely rare here and complicated tax like extra tax for coupe, 4WD, cabriolet, sedan, more than 3 litre engine and many more
Estate / Station Wagon Used Cars are very expensive because of the rarity
PS : Good Luck for search a decent condition Classic Alfa Romeo, it will cost about 100.000 gbp here, because my friend will pay everything the owner want
Hero! Great list (And I feel sorry for you!)
I will find a link later bit the FJ Cruiser is regarded as a legendary car here. A 2014 model with 90k km on it and a clean vehicle history report will go for 37k CAD. Thats 85% of the original price. It takes about 5 years for it to lose 7k in depreciation.

Its not the price of the cars thats expensive in Ireland, its the price of insurance. My friend was quoted €2,660 for a 1 litre VW Polo 2006. Government wont let us insure cars that are 15 years or older so we cant buy a cheap first car.
