10 Awesome Cars Added To The CT Garage In January
At Car Throttle, we see all kinds of cars from all over the world added to the Garage community. And as is now tradition, we’ve rounded up our 10 favourite additions over the past month for you to see.
If you haven’t done so already, head on over to the Garage and show off your project cars, daily drivers and trackday specials!
If you watched Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale this year, you’ll know that quite a few Nissan R32 Skyline GT-Rs went across the block…and sold for a pretty penny. And that’s proof that Skylines are finally getting recognised as proper classics. We’ve had quite a few GT-Rs added to the Garage in January, including CTzen bud_stancer’s modified 1993 Skyline. The white-on-black colour scheme really brings out the tasteful bodywork, making this one very clean Godzilla.
CTzen David Schilling’s 1946 Ford Super De Luxe Coupe is certainly one of the oldest cars we’ve seen this month. Thanks to a period-correct restoration 20 years ago, this old Ford has aged like a fine wine. Powered by the legendary Flathead V8, this Ford is a throwback to a totally different era in automobilia.
They didn’t call it the Mini because it was the size of a Cadillac Coupe de Ville. And that makes the 210bhp power estimate for Thomas Miller’s 1970 Mini Cooper S seem that much more incredible. That’s the power of a Volkswagen Golf GTI in a car that’s half as heavy! Thomas claims he’s put this Mini in a drag race against a Ford Mustang GT…and won.
Here at Car Throttle, we’re pretty familiar with red Miatas. But CTzen Thomas L’s 1997 MX-5 is a particularly special car. Powered by the F20C engine from a Honda S2000, this little Mazda has both the power and the looks to be taken seriously as a race car. And, as Thomas freely admits, it’s the car that Phil could’ve been…
The Ford Mustang has been around for 53 years, and the first-generation models continue to be among the most desirable. Such is the case for CTzen Johntourage’s 1966 model, which is in amazing condition. It’s awesome to see that the original pony car is still just as awe-inspiring today as it was 52 years ago.
Even if you’ve never heard of the Ginetta G4, the two-seat layout and British Racing Green paint should give it away as a traditional sportscar from the United Kingdom. CTzen Deep sea diver has owned this fibreglass-bodied roadster for around 10 years, which gives us a clue as to how much he likes it. The Ginetta’s 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds was incredible in 1966, and is still properly quick today.
We suspect that CTzen TheNotoriousB.I.G. chose his username because of his car. But this E38 is a cool car no matter how you look at it. With a V12 engine, black paint and a lot of low, this big BMW is a real throwback to the streets of central Los Angeles in the 1990s.
The Chevrolet Chevelle SS is arguably one of the greatest muscle cars ever made, and CTzen Tim M’s example is a beautiful one. With a built-up 350 cubic-inch. Chevy V8, this big coupe has no shortage of horsepower on tap. It also has 4:30 gears, so let’s take a moment and pay our respects to the poor rear tires…
CTzen David Dewell has uploaded his Ferrari to the Garage. That would normally speak for itself, but this 360 Modena is no ordinary Ferrari. In fact, it’s a trophy winner. David’s car is in impeccable condition, judging by its score of 98 out of a possible 100 points at the 2017 Ferrari National Concours in the UK. Unsurprisingly, we like it a lot.
Last, but definitely not least, we have the latest garage addition from longtime CTzen YellowBird. We’ll get straight to it - he has an Ultraviolet 991 GT3 RS 4.0. As if a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds and a 493bhp flat-six weren’t cool enough, this Porsche track monster is purple. And that, as we all know, makes it that much better.

When you wish your Supra had made it…
Worry not.
You shouldn’t have anyone else tell you something is special, you just know it.
Love ur Supra.
Oh man, it was tough for me to give it the snips. I have a real soft spot for Mk3s
“a real throwback to the streets of central Los Angeles in the 1990s” biggy was east coast my guy

I guess I got his BMW mixed up with Tupac’s.
Time for me to crank up the Willie Nelson and admit that I know nothing about rap music. 😂
I thought my eyes were deceiving me…
I’m not the biggest fan of miatas but god damm that one looks so good.
Thanks!! I wasn’t either but apparently they are always the answer.
Best month
Fantastic cars, although I’m unsure why the intentionally-broken BMW gets a place- it’s a waste of an otherwise awesome car.
These are some unusual great cars
