Jack Olsen works as a Hollywood screenwriter, and during the Writer’s Guild strike in 2007 he suddenly found himself with a lot of spare time. He decided to overhaul his garage for just $3200 with little experience, proving that the garage of your dreams really isn’t that difficult to get.
Skip to the three minute mark to see this beauty in action. According to the owner, it’s “basically an aircraft carrier elevator”. It’s incredibly accurate, using computers to ensure it raises perfectly straight, and uses an incredible $25 of electricity every time it’s used!

My friend and I came up with an idea for an upscale restaurant one time that would be built in an old aircraft hanger, you just drive your McLaren P1 directly up to your table and eat while getting to look at the Agera that the guy eating at the next table over brought. Obviously this restaurant would be built in the Hamptons or LA.
