The 10 Coolest Cars Uploaded To The CT Garage In The Last 7 Days

The last seven days saw an eclectic mix of vehicles being uploaded to the CT Garage. Here are the ones that really caught our eye!

CTzen Mike Kelly owns this stunning track-prepared Datsun 280Z. The car features a Chevrolet LS3 416 crate engine, T56 transmission, independent rear suspension and a limited-slip differential. But that’s not all. The car also runs custom adjustable monoball suspension, a big brake kit, CCW wheels, Hoosier slicks and a full roll cage. It looks absolutely incredible.

We also love the way that Mike has managed to blend old school aesthetics with modern day design influences. The carbonfibre fender flares and Mitsubishi Evo VIII FQ400-inspired shark tooth fins look perfectly at home on this JDM legend. Check out Mike’s page to hear this beast run!

Looks like Alex’s Colin has some serious competition in the form of this track-prepared BMW E36 M3 Evo. Built to compete in the Kuhmo BMW championship, this E36 has received a complete re-build.

Highlights include a fully re-worked engine with high-lift cams, fully adjustable Gold Race coilovers, a Stoptech big brake kit and a full T45 custom roll-cage. Make sure you check out Brad’s page to see detailed pictures and a full list of modifications. Be warned, it’s long!

This evil-looking Ford Model A is owned by CTzen Ryan Hancock. A welder and fabricator by trade, Hancock has built his very own rat rod with a custom 4×2 tube chassis, 383 small block Chevy motor and a Ford nine-inch rear-end. It must be completely terrifying to drive, but then again, that’s what makes this such a seriously cool machine.

We had to feature this car because 1. We’re proud to have it in the CT Garage, and 2. It’s adorned in CT colours!

This custom SLR Roadster 722S is a product of McLaren’s Special Operations team. It has received a full ‘body conversion’ including a new nose, modified gills, an aggressive rear boot lid and a re-worked diffuser. The interior has also been fully re-trimmed to match the brightly-coloured exterior. CTzen Jake B purchased this car at the 2015 Scottsdale RM Auction. The car has been ‘driven and enjoyed ever since’ which is something we love to hear!

For some, the R33 is the ultimate generation of GT-R, managing to strike a balance between the aggressive R32 and slightly wooly (stock) R34. CTzen David Ast clearly agrees because he purchased his very own example in stunning Midnight Purple. His R33 features some light modifications including, but not limited to, a Greddy oil cooler, RS-R downpipe, HKS Super Drager exhaust and Öhlins PCV coilovers. The exterior has also been treated to a full Nismo body kit, N1 bonnet lip and a set of gorgeous Rota P45R wheels. We like.

Last week, we reported on the Abarth 124 Spider live from the Geneva motor show. We love its aggressive looks and MX-5 beating performance, but for some, original is best. The guys over at Ten Tenths Podcast own this track-prepped Fiat 124 Spider. Used for autocross events and the odd track day, this plucky little Spider supposedly has the firepower to take on a 400hp ZR1 C4 Corvette.

The work done to this car is impressive:

The engine bottom end is basically the stock 1.8-litre twin cam, but the head has been rebuilt with hardened valve seats, adjustable cam gears and bigger valves. The single Weber carburetor has been replaced with dual Weber IDFs, similar to the set up on the Fiat 124 Abarth. The interior has basically been completely gutted other than the dash and center console. The seats have been replaced with those from a Honda CRX in order to accommodate the harnesses and a roll bar has been installed. The car rides on stock 13x5.5 inch wheels as 4x98 bolt pattern wheels are hard to come by, but when on the track, it sports Toyo R888s.

We love a fast diesel estate, and the Skoda Octavia is a great hauler. So it appears that CTzen DocJ4cK has the perfect daily wagon. The Skoda has been chipped to bring power up from a measly 184bhp to a hot-hatch baiting 220bhp, and the car looks suitably menacing in Meteor Grey. Vossen wheels set the whole package off.

The award for oddest car in the CT Garage has to go to this Mk2 Scirocco Ute. CTzen Amelia Jane owns this beast and describes the car as Marmite; you either love it or hate it. Personally we love Utes and we love Sciroccos so this thing is perfect! The Olive paint also gives this V-Dub a military look. The perfect daily? We think so.

We’re suckers for classic Beetles with awesome patina. This particular VW is owned by CTzen Tyler Johnson and features a 1600cc dual port engine, ragtop hood, snowflake tail lights and a safari windshield. The car has also been lowered, giving it some subtle stance. We’d love to daily one of these in London but it’d probably be a heap of rust by the end of the year. Best to keep it in sunny Cali, Tyler!

Rounding out our list of coolest CT Garage cars is this 1999 Nissan S15 owned by CTzen Ricky Lawrence. Recently imported, the car has some tasteful mods including GReddy coilovers, Advan Racing wheels and a Vertex body-kit. It’s pretty rare to see these cars looking relatively stock, so make sure you look after this beauty, Ricky!

Make sure you upload your car to the CT Garage, and be sure to include some details and specs!

Love that skyline, but even more surprised that Fiat can take on a C4 with the Mercury Marine V8.

Anyone else think the SLR looks suspiciously like a Viper in that pic? I guess they were made at the same time by the Daimler-Chrysler group right?
