The 10 Coolest CT Garage Cars Of The Last 7 Days
This home-brewed electric vehicle was designed from the ground up by Belgian CTzens Maxime and Joan. The so-called Cuistax is made entirely from recycled parts and has a top speed of 16kph and a range of 32km. It’s even got headlights, indicators and more sex appeal than the funny-looking Morgan EV3.
Ian Wayman’s fantastic 240 is a work in progress with an engine swap (from a later 280ZX Turbo), custom exhaust, rear disc conversion and bigger injectors to make an estimated 350bhp at 14 pounds of boost. Hit the link for a video of this thing running for the first time after the engine swap!
Honourable mention must also go to Mike Kelly’s mad 1976 Datsun 280Z that features an LS3 416 with NASCAR dry sump and much, much more!
CTzen Eric Wang (originally from China, but now living in America to study) is one lucky son of a gun seeing that he owns one of the ultimate American muscle cars. The Shelby GT350’s 5.2-litre engine kicks out 525hp, making it the most powerful and highest-revving V8 in Ford’s history.
Eric, you really are living the American dream!
When Oliver uploaded pictures and details of his family’s McLaren SLR, we near enough jumped out of our seats! This incredible example was bought by the Wright family over two years ago and has been driven 3500 miles in that time. The CT Garage is honoured to have this supercar parked safely inside!
From a true Mercedes supercar to a super-cool Mercedes car. This wicked 190E has been stripped, caged, dropped and given a new exhaust. Owner The Autonauts tells us that a turbo conversion is also planned. We can’t wait to see this cool Merc with some serious choo-choo!
Another strong contender for the coolest car of the last seven days is Mike’s S2k. In his own words, ‘I purchased it on December 1st 2014 at 1:33 P.M. at the age of 19. It’s one of my dream cars that I’m grateful to have. When I first purchased it I had plans to keep it mostly stock, but you know how that goes…’ Yup, we hear you, Mike!
Since that fateful day at 1:33 pm, Mike’s made loads of upgrades, including ‘dat rear wing, coilovers, bucket seats and harnesses and a Mugen SS (rep) front bumper. It might not be the most powerful car in this week’s CT Garage, but it sure as hell is the happiest! Make sure you check out his garage for more details and future plans (boost).
This ultra-rare Imola red 540i E39 is owned by Australian CTzen Hikakin. It’s a car that screams elegance and aggression in equal measure, and has been remapped to make 330bhp / 354lb ft at the crank. The 540i also features straight pipes from the cats (for the love of God get this on video!) and Bilstein coilovers, while future plans include a supercharger!
Moving away from tarmac warriors, we have this go-anywhere, no-damns-given Nissan Patrol. It’s got a modest two-inch lift, sits on massive 35-inch wheels and, looking at the gallery pics and accompanying video, makes the earth cry with every stab of the throttle!
Roads? Where he’s going, he doesn’t need roads!
Okay, if you’re really into rock crawling, then take a look at Paramount Automotive’s mad Jeep. It’s got everything, including lightbars, fender flares, sliders and hugely capable suspension. Like the Nissan above, make sure you check out this profile to see a cool video of this thing doing what it does best!
Rounding out our list of this week’s coolest CT Garage cars is this 1974 Celica ST that’s owned by Pascal and his dad. The specs include a new Range Rover Evouque Firanza Red paint job, Rota Grid rims and black-painted exterior trim. Soon enough, a ducktail spoiler will be added to finish the car off.
Make sure you upload your car to the awesome CT Garage, and be sure to include some details and specs!
