While browsing the Cars subreddit, we came across this brilliant thread by user Semperfidelis23. The question asked was "What is the most irrelevant, least well known, most pointless car fact you know?"
To get things going, Semperfidelis23 shared his own fact:
In 1949, Buick stopped putting functional side vents on the hood because they received a complaint from a high school principal who said his students were urinating into them.

‘Wing mirrors on Mercedes Benz W126, W201 and W124 models are larger on the passenger side than the driver’s side.
The wheelbase of certain Renault models from the ’60s and ’70s is longer on one side than the other.
