14 Reasons Why V8 Supercars Is The Best Touring Car Series Around
Screw WTCC, move over BTCC, because V8 Supercars is the king of the touring car championships. Here's why!

1. The racing is always close

3. The field is full of top-notch racing drivers

4. Who know how to entertain the crowds

5. They make some great saves

6. There are some close calls!

The Bathurst 1000 is the highlight of the V8 Supercars season, at the iconic and challenging Mount Panorama Circuit.
8. The cars are insanely quick

All cars are front-engined, rear-wheel drive and are powered by 5.0-litre, naturally-aspirated V8 engines with electronic fuel injection, producing between 620 and 650bhp.
10. When they crash, they crash hard

12. It sometimes gets fiery

13. The drifting is brilliant

14. And sometimes it is supported by this brilliantly mad series

V8 super cars is 2005 BTCC but with better engines, faster cars, better circuits and the aussie accent. love it!
Reason 15: It has Volvos
I’m American and I’ve been watching this series for years, I love it!
I may be Murican, but I gotta tip my hat to this series.
Despite NASCAR’s constant top speed & drafting action on the ovals, they might need to go on the road courses much more than they think.

God i live in Australia and this series has gone sh*t it use to be great but now every car is the exact same like they use the same engine axles and everything the only difference is a different body over the top.
there are much better touring car series.
Engines are different, need to be produced by the manufacturer :) otherwise yes, all the same apart from bodywork and engine.
The point of the cars being the same is that the racing is left to driver skill rather than how good the cars are, and as we all know, evenly matched cars make for awesome racing
