15 Modern F1 Liveries That Look Incredible On Older Cars
We all remember McLaren’s famous red and white Marlboro livery from the late 1980s, and Renault’s bright blue and yellow colour scheme from the mid-2000s. But how would they look on F1 cars several years (or decades) older?
Graphic design genius Sean Bull has done just that. Having given us retro liveries on a 2017 concept car and new liveries on a 80s F1 machine, he’s now switched things up again and made designs of more modern and recent liveries on a range of older F1 machines.
Here’s a few memorable F1 liveries on a car design from 1972:
How about a few modern designs on a 1988 car? Yes please…
He even took a 1996 F1 car with the sharp nose and put more recent liveries on it. Safe to say, they look pretty cool.
Finally, a 2002 car shape with modern liveries. Nice job!

For anyone wondering which cars he took as a base:
1972: Lotus 72D.
1988: McLaren MP4/4.
1996: Ferrari F310.
2002: Ferrari F2002.
Stellar job again from Mr. Bull by the way.
