The 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo Is Almost 600LT Money
Once upon a time, the Nissan GT-R was quite a bargain. As it’s aged, however, it’s also gotten more expensive, a point proved not just by the £93k 50th Anniversary car but also the 2020 version of the GT-R Nismo, which Nissan has just revealed to cost upwards of £174,995 in the UK. In the US meanwhile, it’s $212,435.
This is rather a lot, considering it’s just £10,000 shy of the sensational McLaren 600LT, and around £14,000 shy of Mercedes-AMG’s own GT R in ultra-focused ‘Pro’ trim. Is the old dog really worth it?
Well, it has learned some new tricks. The turbochargers, for instance, are lifted from the GT3 racing version. The gearbox has been improved, the weight has dropped, the brakes are better and there have been various aero tweaks. The final piece of the puzzle is a new set of Dunlop tyres. All of this works together to slash the GT-R Nismo’s lap time at Nissan’s development circuit by 2.5 seconds.
The development of the car was done using a ‘kaizen’ mindset, which Nissan says is the “constant need to evolve and fine-tune”.
If this bewinged chunk of kaizen is just a little too much for you, however, there’s always the GT-R Track Edition to consider. It’s substantially less at £99,995, although it’ll be easy to inflate that figure with options including carbon ceramic brakes (£7500) and various carbonfibre components including seats (£6750), roof (£3000) and a spoiler/boot lid combo (£4500).

Sadly the r35 it’s not worthy for that money anymore, there are better cars in that price range, going from the supercar killer to a very overpriced car that I don’t think anyone wants anymore, why paying that money when you can buy even a 2009 model, invest some money and get an better performance than the new Nismo, at the end of the day, it’s the same damm car Nissan should just discontinue it and go home, I have the bad feeling the gtr legacy is no longer alive with this new Nissan move.

Nissan forgot that what always made the gtrs so special was having the best performance and been not cheap but making people believe one day would be able to afford one, and kik any supercars ass.
So essentially if you add all the options and what not you are gonna be spending $300,000 on a GTR? What type of crack is Nissan actually smoking. Didn’t this car used to cost $100,000 at most? I need an explanation of how they managed to cram an extra 200k of crap into the car

I love the GTR, and i love how nissan has never rested on improving it since it has been out. Im sure a lot of bugs have been worked out by now as well. It still fast enough to hang with the big boy’s as well
Heck its worth the money, why not. A GTR is for a Nissan enthusiast and people probably aren’t cross shopping it with a Mcclaren.
