This 2200hp GT-R Has Smashed The Quarter-Mile Record
There’s no place like Texas for stuffing as much horsepower under your hood as humanly possible. That’s what T1 Race Development has done with Tony Palo’s R35 GT-R, which has just taken the crown of the world’s fastest quarter-mile GT-R drag record.
With an almost endless shopping list of parts, Tony’s GT-R produces around 2165hp and 1302lb ft of torque, launching it to 235mph over a half-mile strip and covering a quarter-mile in a record-breaking 7.3 seconds.
T1 Race Development has fitted a huge amount of custom and aftermarket parts to the GT-R, including stage three cylinder heads, a dry sump conversion kit and custom drag suspension, to name a few.
Unlike most production cars that have been beefed up to north of 1000bhp, Tony’s GT-R is completely road legal.

Now i can finally, genuinely say… #OMGTR!

This is slightly getting out of hand…
2165hp? My Honda has 35000hp
wow!, those stickers really add up
235? That’s it? I can get higher speeds than that in GT6 with half the power.
In a quarter mile?
Disklock would want to be standard on these or it’ll be stolen in seconds!!
My buddy’s Honda could walk this.
The hot rod drag week guys can do it in 6.05 and the cats can still pull a trailer and go on a road trip around America.
Yep Larry Larsons s10 5.95 and still can do a road trip with no issues
‘’1000 bhp Corvettes cant put the power down’’
‘’The AWD system on these make good use of the power’’
Shows dyno video where it’s RWD.
Yes they convert them to rwd because it’s the best for drag racing if it wasn’t there would be 3 second top fuel dragsters instead of rwd
Nothing against you posting this, but I’m pretty much tired seeing it over and over again.
This verses Underground Racings’ Hurican. Should be fun to watch…..
