The 3 Most Fashionable F1 Drivers You Want To Dress Like
Formula One drivers might not be the best looking blokes on the planet, but one thing's for sure: their incomprehensible driving talent earns them mega money each year. Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, for example, each take home a cheque for £17.2M, while triple F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel has had his pay increased to £10.3M (some £1.6 more than Webber). Poor old Felipe Massa, meanwhile, has had his pay slashed from £8.6M to £5.2M, probably because he's a little bit useless these days...
The point we're trying to get at here isn't who's the higher earner, rather which driver wears the best threads. After all, each driver must have a flock of personal shoppers to call on day and night:
1. Jenson Button
Jenson Button is a good looking chap and his weekend gigs as model and Head and Shoulders TV advert ambassador have afforded him a clean and highly-fashionable look. The McLaren driver currently sits 10th with 33 points in the driver standings, some 124 points behind current leader Sebastian Vettel.
2. Mark Webber
Soon to be Porsche Le Mans driver Mark Webber has had his ups and downs (mainly downs) with the Vettel-favouring Red Bull Racing team. Away from the cameras, the Australian is more 'casual' than 'chic', but that isn't to say that he can't pull off a tight trousers and fitted gold jacket look like a boss. Webber sits in fifth place and 64 points behind the leader in the standings.
3. Nico Rosberg
German F1 driver Nico Rosberg may not come from a nation famous for its fashion, but the current sixth place Mercedes star clearly bucks the dodgy hair/short shorts German stereotype. Rosberg's new teammate Lewis Hamilton, however?
Lewis Hamilton - fashion faux pas
Hamilton's fashion sense outside the F1 realm has been met with raised eyebrows. Looking more like an official member of JLS, Hamilton wears baggy Ts, lots of chains and has a tattoo that runs the entire length of his right arm. Add to this thick black-rimmed glasses and ridiculous facial hair and you know he's not going to win any GQ fashion awards anytime soon. Still, Hamilton's an incredible driver (former world champ) who currently sits in fourth some 58 points behind Vettel.
