1. The Smoking Tire

5 Automotive Podcasts That'll Make Christmas Traffic More Bearable

Hosted by Matt Farah, this podcast just celebrated its 200th episode with a brilliant episode that covered everything from the Devel 16’s engine to the cars their mums drive. My favourite episode is, ironically, probably the least car-centric of all; ‘Tales of Greenwich is a must-listen, featuring comedian Micah Bam-Bamm describing his stay with Farah’s parents. You can find The Smoking Tire podcasts here.

2. Gareth Jones on Speed

Those of you in your mid-20s who were brought up in the UK will probably recognise Gareth Jones from his time on kids TV show ‘How’. The “that’s how, for now” legend now has his own automotive podcast, sharing presenting duties with Richard Porter. That’s the guy who runs Sniff Petrol, and took part in an awesome AMA with us. Oh, and he used to write something called Top Gear. Check out the full back catalogue here

Joe Rogan’s podcast isn’t specifically about cars, but he most certainly is a car guy, and occasionally talks to people in the car world. The YouTube video embedded above features Chris Harris, and although it’s two hours long, you’ll reach the end wishing there was more. He’s also recorded a couple of podcasts with Matt Farah, which are both great. Take a look through his previous podcasts and you’re sure to find other petrolheads popping up from time to time.

4. Everyday Driver Car Debate

The guys at EverydayDriver have been making YouTube videos for an unbelievable eight years. But it’s not just in videos that they dish out advice to consumers, as they also run a podcast called Everyday Driver Car Debate that comes out once a week, and answers listeners’ questions about what car to buy.

5. Ammo NYC

For those of you who are unaware, Ammo NYC is a car detailing company run by Larry Kosilla. We’ve often featured his videos on different aspects of car cleaning, but he also has a podcast in which he discusses different techniques, and answers any queries his audience have. If you like a clean car, this podcast will be right up your street.

Either of these would be a better addition than Joe Rogan’s. Joe Rogan really doesn’t talk about cars on his podcast enough to be on this list.

Everyman Driver anyone? (FYI he was the guy known for accidentally getting a Toyota 4Runner stuck in a pond, and driving it out successfully despite a lost GoPro).

Take out Joe Rogan and replace him with Hooniverse, then give Joe Rogan an honorable mention and that list would be pretty damn spot on. ;)
