7 Awesome Audi A1 Renders To Wrap Your Head Around

While it hasn’t received universal praise in terms of aesthetics, the new A1 was - for us - quite a pleasant surprise. Yes, the styling is perhaps too busy in places, and no, excessive creases aren’t for everyone. But we’re fond of the visual aggression, and we don’t even mind Audi rather shamelessly echoing the S1 Quattro with those slats above the grille.

But how might it look in other guises? CT’s favourite Internet renderer X-Tomi Design has been on a proper Photoshop binge with the A1, and the results look amazing. Most aren’t likely to become reality, but who cares?

RS1

There remains a slim chance of this happening - an RS1 was rumoured a few years ago, and the Audi Sport brand is being pushed quite hard now. So you never know.

But an RS1 Clubsport, riffing off the 2011 A1 Clubsport concept? Pretty much impossible. Which is a shame, as this rendered one looks amazing.

A1 Allroad

We could actually see Audi making this as a sort of upmarket answer to the Ford Fiesta Active. The only problem is it might step on the toes of the anticipated Q1 mini crossover.

A1 three-door

Sorry folks, this one isn’t happening - like its MQB A0 platform mates - the Seat Ibiza and VW Polo - the A1 will remain a five-door car only. Sadly, three-door hatchbacks just aren’t as popular as they used to be.

A1 base spec

The only A1s we’ve seen so far have been specced-up to the nines, so we’ll have to wait and see if less generously equipped examples look quite so good. But we won’t be seeing one quite this basic…

A1 saloon

Even for Audi, this would be a niche too far.

A1 van

And the same goes for this van, imagined in a three-door configuration. But hey, it looks pretty smart.
