7 Cars The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Can Beat To 60mph
What type of witchcraft Jeep has used to make the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk so fast, we don't know. What we do know is that the big SUV is faster off the line than some seriously fast cars
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is fast. It’s the size of the moon and weighs about the same as Ayres Rock, but thanks to four-wheel drive, clever launch control and some sort of voodoo incantation, the super-SUV launches to 60mph in a bonkers 3.5 seconds on the way to an 11.6sec quarter-mile.
It uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 to smoosh 697bhp down through the four wheels, and if that engine configuration sounds familiar, it’s because you’ll find the same basic unit in the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and even the Dodge Demon, albeit in more highly-modified form. It’s obviously doing a good job, looking at the cars it’s faster than. We dug up a list of 0-60mph times and… well, you can see where we’re going with this.

Jeep was once a nickname given to off-road vehicles, but now it, like the BMW-Mini, lost touch with it’s name. At least a Range Rooney can still do all that off-roading stuff AND be an insanely fast luxury car that can take Coleen to the shops and back.
