Why matte black cars?

I think with matte black cars it depends on why they’re matte black, my truck is matte black but that was because I wanted to stop the surface rust. I would rather have a matte black car than try to fix a lot of rust damage later down the road.
What’s wrong with matte/satin black? That color will work for any car.
