911 GT2 RS And Huayra BC Collide In Painfully Expensive Track Day Crash
What we have here is a prime candidate for the unenviable award of ‘most expensive track day crash ever’. In the video, shot during a recent event at Monza circuit, we see a Porsche 911 GT2 RS smash into the side of a Pagani Huayra BC. The BC being a car that costs £1.8 million.
The impact was so severe, it forced the Huayra’s passenger door to spring open. The 911, meanwhile, had its front-left pretty much destroyed. The aftermath pictures aren’t what you’d call pretty. If you’d like to find a quiet place to have a little cry, we don’t blame you.
The accident happened on the Variante del Rettifilo - a tight chicane at the end of the start-finish straight. Admittedly, the Pagani wasn’t going all that fast, but as this was a track day and not a race, the driver is perfectly entitled to do so.
It’s hard to tell if the Porsche driver was either caught out by the slow speed of the Huayra or if they were intending to overtake on the corner - a big no-no at this kind of event - and misjudged. Given the pace being carried into the chicane, you have to wonder if the GT2 RS would have even made the corner had the Pagani not been there.
Thankfully, both drivers were said to be OK following the contact.

Didn’t even look like the Porsche attempted to slow down, and the Pagani was already moving pretty slow when it rolled into shot… Hard to tell exactly what was going on but it appears the driver of the Porsche was taking this a bit too competitively and not really paying attention
This is a great thing, I think everyone feels this information is very valuable, thank you https://howtoenableflash.com
A very meaningful event, I hope everything will go well https://candycrushsoda.co
