According To These Guys, The Toyota Prius Is A Street Racing King

We generally prefer to spread love in the car community, making sure we engage with all types of petrolheads. But then we received an email from CT fan Karan linking us to a thread on a Prius forum, and we just couldn't resist sharing it.

The thread opens with 'caliprius83' wondering what unlikely cars other owners have beaten in races, boldly claiming to have beaten a 5.0-litre Mustang and giving a Kawasaki sports bike a run for its money.

Rather than rolling their eyes and clicking away, a few other users chimed in with tales from the lights. The aptly named 'V8Cobrakid' pops up to talk about the time he beat an Acura NSX and a Dodge Viper in his time behind the wheel. Furthermore, he took his Prius to an autocross event where people "made comments the entire time

you can't hear the car... It doesn't put out pollution, just butterflies." Because that happened...

But when they're not busy boasting about the cars left in their low CO2 dust, they're boasting about the crazy speeds their hybrid hits. '240sxer' proudly proclaims to have hit a 'whopping' 107mph while racing a Nissan 240SX.
