All-Wheel Drive Dodge Challenger Accidentally Confirmed By US Government
Leaks are fairly common these days, and frankly they're often good for publicity as far as new cars go. But, as leaks go, the American EPA's confirmation of a four-wheel drive Challengerwas so low-key it nearly slipped under the radar
Dodge is about to release a four-wheel drive Challenger, and it sounds awesome.
The fellas at Jalopnik spotted an entry on the Environmental Protection Agency’s website, for a Dodge Challenger GT, which is confirmed on the same page as driving all four wheels.
Its a couple of miles per gallon worse on fuel than the rear-wheel drive version but the extra traction, plus the ability to plough on through winter weather, is surely going to be worth it.
The catch? As Dodge initially tests the water for consumer demand, it’s going to be V6 and automatic only. We really, really hope they stick a V8 into it, because that would be beyond amazing.

I heard that the AWD version comes with its own gravitational pull
Didn’t we learn about one from sema 2015 and it was the challenger gt with a liberty walk kit as well?
We approve!
Engine swap incoming
Looks like only female buyers when it comes out… lol
Incoming awd hellcat
Hopefully an AWD Hellcat is in the wings, so Dodge has a pony car that isn’t embarassed by hot hatches
Sure a base Civic is more than enough to outrun a Hellcat on backroads, but that’s not the point of a muscle car. I like the stupidity of a pure, RWD, ridiculously powerful, relatively cheap muscle car.
why no 4wd hellcat
Dunno why people don’t like this. I think it’s pretty cool. An AWD Challenger or Camaro drift machine would be sooo cool😍
And you purists can calm down like jesus
