The Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante Is V12 Beauty That'll Make Your Ears Happy
If you were to ask us which of the cars we drove in 2016 sounded the best, the answer would be easy: it’s the Aston Martin Vanquish S.
Gaydon’s ageing but glorious 5.9-litre V12 sounds better than ever in the tweaked Vanq thanks to a new stainless steel exhaust, and now, you have the option of lopping the roof off to soak up even more N/A noise.
It’s powered by the same 595bhp, lightly fettled 5.9-litre V12 as found in the coupe, and has that all-important new quad-exhaust we like so much. As with the coupe, it also gets new gearbox software for the eight-speed ZF-sourced, transaxle-mounted automatic, plus revised suspension.
Further mirroring the coupe, the Volante S has been treated to a smattering of carbonfibre trim pieces, including a new rear diffuser and front splitter sections.
There’s no word on how much it’ll cost just yet, but expect a small bump over the £199,950 charged for the coupe.
