The current Audi RS6 is not long for this world. With a new-generation A6 on the way, RS6 production has now ended, but not without a limited-edition goodbye.

It’s called the Nogaro Edition, of which 150 will be made. We’re awaiting confirmation from Audi to find out exactly where they’re going, but we have a sneaking suspicion this is for the German market only.

It’s finished - as you might expect - in Nogaro Blue, the same hue used for the legendary RS2. It sits on 21-inch polished black wheels, ensuring this is one of the meanest-looking stock RS6s we’ve ever seen.

On the inside you’ll find a hilarious amount of Alcantara (seriously, it’s pretty much everywhere), including blue contrasting blue sections for the seats, door panels and transmission tunnel. The cabin is finished off with some carbonfibre trim, and Nogaro Edition badging.

As standard, the car comes in ‘Performance’ spec (albeit with the addition of a titanium exhaust), which means the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 puts out 597bhp. Which is about enough to make you feel like your insides are being scrambled every time you put your foot down. But, if you’re mad enough to want more, Audi has that covered. Well, not quite.

Audi will provide a power boost via ABT Sportline - the same company that produces the 503bhp RS4 we were looking at earlier today. After a jolly good fiddle, the RS6 Nogaro will be good for an unholy 695bhp (let’s just call that a nice, round 700 shall we?) and 649lb ft of torque. With the newfound poke, this RS6 can top out at 198mph. So, find a downhill stretch of autobahn, and 200mph should be doable.

Prices in Germany for the RS6 Nogaro Edition start at €124,200, around €11,000 more than a regular RS6.
