Audi's New R18 E-Tron Quattro Is Mad Aero Done Right
Audi’s 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship challenge got off to a strong start earlier this month, winning the 6 Hours of Silverstone.
And ahead of the second round of the season, the German manufacturer has unveiled a new, aggressive low-downforce aero kit.
Audi is giving the bodykit - which differs considerably from the one raced at Silverstone - its first test at the 6 Hours of Spa, to gather data for the main event this June: the 24 Hours of Le Mans (we’ll be there reporting, blogging and vlogging).
The machine features front aero, sidepod and rear wheelarch changes as well as revised cooling and suspension systems.
According to AUTOSPORT, the full-season Audi R18 e-tron quattros will run the low-downforce aero kit, while the third car - which is only being entered at Spa and Le Mans - will run the old bodywork.
