It's The Auto Apprentice. Two candidates, Adam Eliaz and Tim Ankers (Runner-Up 2010 BBC Junior Apprentice), have come to Car Throttle HQ. They're here to compete for The Auto Apprentice title worth zero pounds and a ride in the 2012 Suzuki Swift Sport. From a company which is famously hard to please. Car Throttle has built an automotive empire worth lots of money. Now once again, it's on the hunt for an Apprentice. To succeed, Adam and Tim are going to have to live and work together. It's the chance of a lifetime. Who will become The Auto Apprentice?
No, this isn't some dodgy spin-off, rather CT's take on a primetime classic. If you're from across the pond, you'll recognise this as the show which stars tycoon Donald Trump. Here in the UK, we have our own wheeler-dealer mogul dubbed Lord Alan Sugar. However, we've twisted the format of the show and brought in two lads who have tasted success on a national scale, Tim and Adam, who shared their experiences and talked to us about their car histories.
Our form of transport for the day was a 2012 Suzuki Swift Sport. We've already tested the normal Suzuki Swift and found it to be a bucketload of fun starting at a low £11,130. But the SSS (not to be mistaken for a Secret Service sect) has been racking up critical accolade by the metric tonne and so it was about time we got our hands on one.
Tim and Adam's task was to memorise key facts about the car. We don't want to spoil the fun, but this car isn't the hottest hatch on the market, producing only 136hp from a 1.6 VVT engine. But it's the way it delivers. As you'll find out, this is a car that puts a smile not only on the driver's face, but also etched onto the faces of your co-pilots and passengers.
