This Awesome Guy Took His Taxi Driver To Ferrari World Because He'd Never Been

We’ve all been on holiday and taken taxis to cool locations, but I’d guess most of us don’t take the time to get to know our driver. But that’s exactly what Irishman Liam Murphy did recently while working in the United Arab Emirates.

Murphy called a taxi to take him from Dubai to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. Along the way he got chatting to his driver, Shakiha, and discovered that he’d never been inside the Ferrari theme park. According to Murphy, who posted his story on Facebook, Shakiha was going to wait in the car park until his fare wanted to go home.

When they arrived, Murphy invited Shakiha inside as his guest, paying an extra 250AED (£43, $68) for his cabby’s ticket. The pair went all over the park looking at the cars, and went on Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster. Liam says that when Shakiha got off he said "I do not feel well, sir!"

Shakiha’s family still live in his native India, and he sends them money every month. Liam’s wonderful act of kindness is a great reward for a man who has clearly given up so much for his family. And the best part of the story? They stopped for pizza on the way home!
