The Benefits of Small hatchback you didn't realize

Small hatchbacks i’m gonna talk about is not a Ford fiesta,Honda Jazz,Toyota yaris, etc but smaller than that. I’m talking about Hyundai i10,Swagon,Gwhizz,Toyota iQ,and so on.

Small hatchbacks i’m gonna talk about is not a Ford fiesta,Honda Jazz,Toyota yaris, etc but smaller than that. I’m talking about Hyundai i10,Swagon,Gwhizz,Toyota iQ,and so on. The 1 Litre Hatchbacks, yes from the displacement it’s clearly not for typical Americans “no replacement for displacement” since America is a huge continent and cheap fuel so the use of 1 litres hatchbacks is nonsense, but for us who lives in a small crowded countries with expensive fuel, insurance and tax small hatchbacks with 1 litres is interesting choices that we might missed.

The Benefits of Small hatchback you didn't realize

Being small means you can maneuver through the traffic with ease and also you can go through small gap incase you stuck in parking lot if there’s a learners who can’t park their cars properly.

Refueling
Refueling

Refueling, for some of you who lives in UAE,America,or wherever the fuel is cheap this will never be your problems. With 1 litres or some even have less than 1 litres these hatchbacks visit gas stations less than “normal” cars. Living in countries where fuel cost is sky high these hatchbacks will spare your money on gas for your daily commute so you can spend your money on your weekend warriors car parts, buying bigger turbo, bigger pistons, better suspensions, etc so next time you hit the tracks you’ll be able to cut your lap times even further.

The Benefits of Small hatchback you didn't realize

Maintenance cost, small hatchbacks have simple technology, engine and skinny tyres. Their main purpose is to save fuel so stuffing technology fest in cars like S class Benz will ruin that. Due to simple technology maintenance tend to be cheap compare to other cars since there’s not a lot things that can be broken and you can do simple maintenance things on your own. Skinny tyres can only means cheap tyres changes, fat tyres like 235/40/R18 are cost more compare to skinny 195/55/R14 tyres therefore it will save your money so you can spend that on your track days weapons tyres.

The Benefits of Small hatchback you didn't realize

You’ll be on the edge everytime you drive it,skinny tyres have less grips than fat tyres combine with high gravity body roll means you on constant edge. We love drive to the edge on track days and with small hatchbacks you can do that 24/7.

The Benefits of Small hatchback you didn't realize

Cheap taxes and insurance cost. Small cars have small displacement means tax will be cheap compare to bigger displacement cars. Different countries have different policy on tax but i’m sure displacement measures policy is kinda the same every where. Small and cheap cars have a cheap parts too, parts like front fenders, front bumper, rear bumper will cost less compare to more expensive cars that’s why the insurance companies will charge you less. So that’s all the benefits of owning small hatchbacks that i can think of. Any suggestions you want to add? Last it’s my very first blog post so forgive me if there’s a wrong spelling or grammar. Thank you.

This is too true. I drove a 6.6L all summer and there was no expensive taxes to pay for emissions. I had no trouble saving money even with a 50+ litre fill up every 4 days. And my “little Eco car” alternative? It has a 2.2L engine.

Yeah i forgotten to mentioned emissions tax. 6.6L? You own a muscle car then?

I totally agree with this, other than maybe the maitinace for the smart fortwo. For us we have to get parts shipped from Germany the the United States. But the car is a hoot to drive.

I’ve been reading through and so far so good but a 235/40 is lower profile than 195/55… I’ve asked jake and he told me that if you fix it he’ll have your article “EP’d” (Editors pick in case you don’t know).

Great article BTW.

By the way, tyre prices doesn’t really follow their size, the only thing that matter is how common that size is, for example the 195/55 R15 is more expensive than 195/60 R15 and 195/50 R15 For example the price of the EcoContact 5 in Hungary is the following: /50: 54eur /55: 85 eur /60:64 eur.

Also, I believe that there is some confusion, because I believe that you think that low profile tyres are skinny tires, but they are not, a low profile tyre is a tyre with a “small number” after the / sign. for example 195/35 is a low profile tyre (don’t know if it exists or not).

I think you should edit this article, because it is very chaotic right now, and a fair bit of exaggeration but I think it has some potential. For example the Toyota iQ is a fairly overpriced car, and instead of buying that you are better off buying some older car like a Suzuki Swift, or some older Astra or Corsa, simply because they are dirt cheap and are generally reliable. but if you don’t need more than 2 seats you might as well just get one car for everyday driving and weekend fun, an MX5.

Finally the words i’ve been looking for skinny tyres! Yes! Thank you! Well what i’m trying to say is all small hatchbacks not necessarily an iQ,i’m just using the iQ images.

You have things a little wrong.. not completely though..
In america you still have cities like NYC and LA in California where small cars like this are great to own. I had a Generation 1 XB when i lived in NYC, and it was fantasic, it was short, parking was easy, and it was tiny enough to wiz through traffic.. Honestly if they made the S660 Honda in the USA, i would own one already..

They sold the IQ here, but they never sold it with a manual, and small cars are made to be driven with a stick shift..

Thanks for sharing such a nice information about Small Hatchback Cars. I’m planning to buy a fuel efficient small family hatchback car. Is this good choice to buy a new Maruti Suzuki hatchback car?
