Brace Yourselves: Road-Going Aston Martin Vulcans Will Soon Be Unleashed

Engineering company RML Group is offering to convert examples of the track-only Aston Martin Vulcan to road-going specification
Brace Yourselves: Road-Going Aston Martin Vulcans Will Soon Be Unleashed

If you can’t wait for Aston Martin’s new hypercar - not due until 2018 - and you happen to be one of the 24 stupidly rich owners of the company’s track-only Vulcan, there is a solution. Motorsport engineering company RML - which has entered the likes of the WTCC, BTCC and Le Mans Series over the years - will offer a road-going conversion for the 820bhp, 7.0-litre V12-powered car.

RML hasn’t revealed exactly how much the conversion will cost, but it’ll almost certainly be jolly expensive considering the uniqueness of the project. It’ll take a while to convert each car, too: RML states that the process will take between three and four months.

The work will take place at RML’s facility in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and the first converted car is due to be finished later this year.

It’s worth pointing out though, that this isn’t the first crazy track-only hypercar to be converted for road use. At least one road-going McLaren P1 GTR is known to exist, and one of Ferrari’s bonkers FXX Evoluziones was given the road-legal treatment a few years ago. And we can see why; if we had such an awesome supercar, we’d want to drive it as much as possible too…

No idea why AM could not offer this themselves, but kudos to RML for tackling this and making the world a better place!

Though it got the approval of AM itself. Allegedly, 3 or 4 owners will opt for the package which is completely reversable.

there’s one in Cleveland Ohio and the police actually have shut a few streets down every so often so he can allow it to make some noise. (the car has also been driven in Columbus and Cincinnati)
