This Brutal Rally-Spec Evoque Is Your New Favourite Range Rover

These rendered images of an off-road-spec Range Rover Evoque have been submitted to a patent office in China.

It's unclear exactly what these images are referring to, however we can speculate that it's either a crazy street-legal three-door Evoque built specifically for the Chinese market, or a heavy duty rally-raider built for brutal motorsport action. The roof scoop hints at a mid or rear-mounted engine, which leans us towards a rally application.

What is clear is that this Evoque is riding high, with some serious under-body protection. It also gets a ventilated hood, mud flaps and massive alloys.

The patent images are reminiscent of the Desert Warrior 3 rally raider (above), which competes in the FIA T3 championship. That particular car gets a 3.0-litre BMW diesel engine which produces 275hp and looks like it has taken a similar hit of steroids.
