Caught: Estoque Concept On The Streets

Four-door coupes are the emerging battleground for the the sportscar car manufacturers! Porsche with the Panamera, Aston Martin with the Rapide, Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept,Lamborghini with the Estoque Concept? The last two aren't assured - many thought that it was a preview concept like Aston Martin did with the Rapide, but no production plans have been announced.

However, there has been a bit of back and forth with some reports saying it was cancelled. Lamborghini quickly put those rumors to rest with the statement “No decision has been made to produce the Estoque." Since then, nothing has happened on the Estoque. Until now, that is!

The Estoque has been caught on the streets of Cologne, Germany. It appears to be the concept, without any changes or camouflage whatsoever. Very odd indeed, and it certainly begs the question of why the concept would be paraded out on public streets. This probably is a good sign they want to create some free publicity for the Estoque.

If the Lamborghini Estoque and Bugatti 16C Galibier get produced, there will be three high-end exotic sedans under VW's roof - the Estoque, 16C Galibier and Bentley Mulsanne. Some have speculated that there will be commonality between the three underneath, which is probably likely. What do you guys think, should the Estoque be produced?
