This Cheap Skyline R33 Could Make A Spectacular Project
When we were browsing the classifieds we definitely weren’t expecting to find a potential bargain Nissan Skyline R33 project car.
It’s not a GT-R, but it does have the sweet and highly tunable 2.5-litre six-cylinder RB25DE engine; the normally-aspirated sibling to the RB25DET. The 1995 car is already fitted with a slightly tatty-looking Corbeau bucket seat dated to 2020, plus a metric tonne of potential.
The spec highlight on this £2500 rough diamond has to be a set of nearly-new Tein coilovers. Face-achingly expensive when they were new, they now give the car a brilliant base upon which to build and modify. On top of that there’s already a stainless exhaust in place.
We have to say this hasn’t been looked after as well as it might have been. The shoddy paint job was hand-done, by which we can only assume the seller means ‘with a brush’. The wheels would obviously have to go, the cloudy headlights need a good sorting out and one of the front suspension towers has started rusting, but there’s surely a vast amount going for this as the basis for a build.
The seller’s dodgy advert text doesn’t fill us with massive confidence, there’s no information about mileage and there’s no logbook at present. But, with a bit of digging and a new logbook, could this be the start of something beautiful?

GeoBaz Look at dis a car
I would love that car! If my family would let me buy it or if I have money xD
That much for a bombed skyline over there? We can get ones in decent condition for that price here, well, they’re still bad but not on this level…
The non-Turbo RBs are regarded as “not worth tuning”.
The problem is that you basically have to change everything to get good power.
is it me or it REALLY looks like a weird Zenki S14
hahaha I thought it was an S14 at first
By looking at the drivers seat it looks like the previous owner has enjoyed it a bit too much..
