It’s currently on Bring A Trailer and, as of time of writing, gives you six days to bid on this piece of automotive lunacy. Unfortunately for Brits, despite the Union Jack headlining the car is in Columbus Ohio.

Wether there is enough left of the original car for it to be a Healey still is arguable. It’s been built over the course of seven years by a Lockheed Martin Skunk Works engineer, so the the work should be very high calibre indeed.

You can read the actual listing for the full details but the highlights are:

A Chevrolet 350ci crate engine mated to a 650 CFM Holley carburettor and the power delivered to the wheels by a 3-speed B&M-built GM350 automatic transmission.

The chassis is custom built with 2×4″ steel tube frame, and features a removable roll bar and extra bracing to keep the chassis super rigid.

The body is removable and has a lengthened front shroud and cockpit, along with a custom aluminum hardtop.

It’s shod with Goodyear Eagle GTII tires on Wheel Vintiques Hot Rod wire wheels, completed with custom knock-off caps.

Seating is in Kirkey racing buckets and strapped in with 5-point belts.

Personally, I still can’t decide if I think it’s awesome or completely awesome.

What do you think?

Hot damn! American hot rod style swagger paired with British excellence. Not much beats such a combo imo
