Chris Harris Has Driven The Viper ACR And He Loves It
Our favourite Top Gear presenter gets behind the wheel of the aero-heavy muscle car to see what's what.
Chris Harris has finally been allowed to spank the Dodge Viper ACR and he’s surprised by how capable the ‘Murican muscle car is around the Top Gear Test Track. The 645bhp V10 combined with a manual gearbox and a massive functional aero pack makes the ACR a proper track weapon.
In classic sideways fashion, Mr Harris concludes that the Viper is a performance car bargain and has even told 911 GT3 RS buyers to think about the ACR as a genuine contender.
Hop over to Top Gear to watch the full video and decide for yourself whether you’d take the American muscle over the best from Porsche.

Let me guess. He drifts it around a track…
“The perfect tra- DRIFT CAR!!!”
The Dodge Viper isn’t really a muscle car. Camaros Mustangs and Challengers fit the bill more. More affordable and 4 seats. Ian Wright
Oh no. I’m not getting roped into this again…
Those are pony cars the only real muscle cars in production are holden v8 cars, Chevy ss, Dodge Charger v8 models and the Chrysler 300 srt8
put me on the show when im 16 and youll actually see someone drive it the way its supposed to be driven
Of course he liked it! Who wouldn’t? It has 645bhp and a V10 with awesome sound (I guess).
But why call it a track car if you drift it? Grab an E30 and put V8 for 1/1000 of the price of this Viper and enjoy it even more. *triggered
You can build a V8 swapped E30 drift car for 149 dollars? REALLY? Sign me up!
