Chrome Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Anyone? Just Me Then...
Call it ridiculous, call it absurd, call it boastful. Call it whatever you like but at the end of the day, you know you really want one of these bad boys.

Yes once again English Premier League footballers have taken it to the next level by pimping out the already fabulous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and turning it into a mirror on wheels. The main image above is courtesy of Arsenal defender William Gallas, whilst the latest McLaren car to become a victim of this epic paint-job belongs to Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf.
For those of you who have been living on another planet for the past few years, the Mercedes-Benz McLaren "Sport, Leicht, Rennsport" is a £300,000 ($450,000) beast housing a hand-built, 5.4-litre, V8 supercharged engine. With maximum power of 626 horsepower at 6500 rpm this certainly isn't a machine for the feint-hearted, and with an estimated production of 3,500 only you're going to be lucky to even see one of these on the road.
It seems though that it is not only "6-figure-a-week" football players who have been indulging in chrome as an alternative to the now defunct style icon of a white exterior, or the standard predator feel of black-as-the-night paint. Arab Sheikhs have been unloading their oil dollars into McLaren SLR mirrors and if I'm totally honest, they're not as much of an eyesore as you would think.
Here's me wondering what the heck they're going to do to the upcoming SLS AMG or the McLaren P11. This could get nasty.
