Classifieds' Car Of The Day: Immaculate Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2
The modern Lancia Delta really is a pig-ugly thing. And that's a shame, because the first-generation model looked utterly stonking, particularly in Integrale trim
The Integrale is a proper rally hero. Between 1987 and 1992 it cleaned up in the World Rally Championship, winning the constructors' championship every single year and clocking up an incredible 46 WRC victories.
The final road-going version, the Evo II, appeared in 1993. The turbocharged 2.0-litre four-pot wedged in the Delta's tiny engine bay kicked out 215bhp. That makes the Evo II good for 0-60mph in a swift 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 137mph.
It's the way the Integrale drives, though, that's the real seller. With superb grip from the four-wheel drive chassis, fantastic balance and steering feedback like you wouldn't believe, these things are a joy to hoon.
That legendary status makes the Integrale - particularly in Evo II form - very sought after, so you do need a decent chunk of money to bag yourself one. This 1993 is up for £22,995. There's no denying that's a large chunk of cash, but this one has only done 59,000 miles, and the Integrale values will only head north.
