The Complete F1 2017 Grid Has Been Revealed, And It Looks Damn Good

All of the 2017 F1 car reveals have now happened and we must say, it’s one good-looking grid! Here’s a full look at all of the F1 machines hitting the race tracks this season

The 2017 F1 season has officially begun with a week packed with car launches, ahead of the start of pre-season testing in Spain.

We’ve now had a look at all of the 2017 machines, although it must be said the cars will probably change a fair bit before the first race (they don’t want to be giving all their secrets away this early).

Nevertheless, it’s one good-looking grid. The new F1 rules with beefier aero and wider tyres have given the cars a much meaner and more imposing look.

Sauber C36

The first official F1 car to be revealed was the Sauber C36, showing off a special livery for the 2017 season to commemorate the team’s 25th anniversary.

It provided us with a first glimpse of the new rules, with the wider, angular front wing, lower and wider rear wing and the return of the shark fin.

Renault RS.17

Next up was the gorgeous yellow and black Renault RS.17, which definitely set our hearts racing – it’s one good looking car, even with the little ‘thumb’ nose stub.

Force India VJM10

Then, it was Force India’s turn. Ah. Well, we guess there has to be one ugly duckling of the group, right? It’s nice to see such varied interpretations of the rules, even if the nose and shark fin look odd on this one.

Mercedes W08

The reigning world champions Mercedes then uncovered the W08, which first broke cover with a shakedown from Lewis Hamilton on track at Silverstone before the official unveiling.

Mercedes continues to find ways of making a F1 car look incredibly sleek and elegant, while also being ridiculously detailed too – there are some lovely features on the W08 if you look closely.

Ferrari SF70H

Ferrari revealed the SF70H on Friday morning, bright and early with an online video launch before the car hit the Fiorano test track for a shakedown.

The car is one of the most striking to be revealed, particularly with its crazy sidepods and unusual winglet on top of the shark fin (which isn’t a requirement this year, in case you were wondering, but is a route a lot of teams have gone for).

McLaren MCL32

McLaren was next and IT’S ORANGE. Loads of hints over previous weeks had got everyone properly hyped up for the MCL32 launch and for us, it didn’t disappoint.

The bright orange and black livery has split opinion among fans, but there are some lovely details on the car and it’s great to see a fresh perspective from McLaren with the colours.

Williams FW40

Williams had showed us some 3D renders of its F1 car, the FW40, beforehand but it then shared official shots of the 2017 machine and its huge shark fin on Saturday.

Red Bull RB13

It was then the turn of Red Bull with the striking-looking RB13, launched just one day before the winter tests on Sunday.

The car retains the unique matte paint scheme and sports the now common shark fin, as well as an unusual nose tip.

Haas VF-17

That was followed up by the Haas VF-17 reveal, although pictures of the car had previously been linked after a filming day on Saturday at Barcelona. Awkward.

Toro Rosso STR12

Finally, Toro Rosso showed off a stunning new livery when it unveiled the 10th 2017 F1 machine, the STR12. No nose ‘stub’ and probably the best look fin of the lot. We like this one.
