This Corrupt Cop Was Busted When He Turned Up To Work In A Ferrari

A policeman who spent his spare time involved with drugs, laundering money and running a brothel was found out after he turned up to work at Kings Heath police station in a Ferrari. Osman Iqbal, who worked for West Midlands Police, found himself under investigation after arousing fellow officers’ suspicions when he turned up in the red 458 Italia.

Officers discovered Iqbal had bank accounts for non-existent businesses, which were being used to launder hundreds of thousands of pounds from brothels in London. He had also attempted to access police records on behalf of Nahiem Ajmal, a Birmingham religious leader.

In September Iqbal was sentenced to seven years in prison after admitting conspiracy to run a brothel, conspiracy to launder money and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. He appeared in court again on Wednesday, admitting three counts of misconduct in a public office for attempting to access police records.

So there you have it. If you’re a cop and part-time gangster, don’t get greedy and parade your flash motor in front of your cop friends. They might get a little suspicious…
